Fremantle Power Station Graffiti
I am not a fan of Graffiti in any way, but I guess in a derelict building such as this is one area where perhaps it can be condoned and perhaps even fostered as a way to get it off the streets.
There is some serious talent in amongst some of these artists and they should have an area like this where they can explore their talents without defacing public and private property.
I think the stylising has worked pretty well…hope you like it!
Nice Mark. I too am not keen on the public and private defacing of property. We have been hit a few times with grafiti on our walls, not happy Jan! Nice picture, I think I might have to go for a wonder down that way to have a go at this my self some day/night. Thanks for the inspiration.
No worries Graham!
I think it would be best there either late afternoon with the sun shining in from the West or even a moonlit night.
Cheers,
Mark
i like it Mark..be a fun place to go all brent pearson on!
Did you have a go at painting some light rays in from some of those windows? would look sweet i rekon…have a dig through brents blog for the post he did on how he made ‘the nightmare’ ..actually quite similar grafiti to the shot he did
on second look, have you done some of this already? with render clouds in bottom right?
Yep I have mate!
But not sure I have it nailed yet!
We should go down there on evening!
Cheers,
Mark

I like it! Looks like a spooky place to hang out though.
Nah not so bad Sandy!
Lot of fun really!
Cheers,
Mark
Nice shot Marky. Can you just walk into the old site or do you need permission. Knowing you you just walked straight on in haha!!!
Lets do a shoot there one day……….
Yeah mate just walked in eh!
I know the guy that used to own it and want to talk to him about doing an exhibition there with Christian…that would be pretty cool eh!
For sure we should do a shoot there eh!
Jeez, walking into disused power stations has become a trend, nice photo. Really like the caption in the graffiti coloured text.
Yes there is some talent out there Matt…I just wish they would channel it in a better way than Graffiti!!
check my version Mark from last night 🙂
Neat image Mark. Worked out pretty well. My eyes were slightly distracted by the effect on the ground, it may need to be softened up a bit.
Plenty to look at right throughout the scene.
Also, did you notice how much the grafiti changed between your shot and mine? and it was only like 2 days apart!
No I didn’t… I’ll check it out!
Cheers,
Mark
pretty good mate.
