This one’s for Bo!!!

Bo inspired me with his treatment of a similar image so I thought I would put my spin on it. I really like the colour that Bo put into his image, but I have not gone quite so hard with the colour and then have added a few more tricks. Have a look at Bo’s image here.

  1. How do you get that drama in the cloud and sky? It’s awesome, and there’s been quite a few lately.

    • I’ll go through the process with you at KJ Matt. There is a number of steps and not always the same either! The first thing is to have a camera when the clouds are there eh!

  2. Thanks mate, looking forward too it. Hope you have fun with the Lens Correction, that can be a bit hit and miss as well.

  3. Well, as they say, imitation is the most sincere form of flattery! ;-D

  4. Love this image for sure clouds are always a great way of getting drama out of an image but it takes a good shot to get the affect to good work Mark.

    • Gidday Brett,

Thanks for visiting and the kind words mate!

We have had a really good run of clouds at Rotto this season and as they say the best way of getting a good shot is F8 and be there!

  5. Yes indeed very true I have got some good shots from up north on my blog site and they seem to be getting better now to maybe its all the feed back and little bits of help along the way and I also got PTgui it has helped heaps thanks for that kind hint there to Mark.

  6. Great weather shot Mark. Also I had a flick through some of your previous pics and the aerial shot with the boats in the foreground is a real gem!
