Thunderstorm at the Louisiades

This storm came in very fast which is typical of what happens often in the afternoons up there.

I thought it suited the black and white look.

  1. Nice bw conversion with a touch of duotone. It might work good to crop a bit of top and bottom, heighten the visual tension a bit.

Have you been on True North during a thunderstorm with high sea etc?

    • Hi Bo,

I will look at the crop idea. Yes I have been on True North during a number of Thunderstorms in the PNG area, but they rarely come with any wind and if they do, it is only light. They normally appear in the early morning and evenings which make for great sunrises and sunsets. The cruising up there is very calm and often oily calm.
